Stuck on the road?Ian gets you going.

I was riding my Suzuki DRZ400 from Steep Point WA to Byron Bay NSW going through Alice Springs. Unfortunately the bike broke down before Alice. I called Moto Worx (I didnt know the shop) and spoike to Ian. I explained the problem and Ian told me 'No worries mate, bring it in when you get to Alice and I'll get you back on the road". When I got to Alice, I called Ian, dropped the bike off to him and I was wondering how many days I had to stay in Alice before he could fix the bike. Well, what a surprise, he told me, just wait here and I'll get it going. Without even checking anything, Ian tried to start the bike, which didnt start, and straight away he told me, "no compression, I have to do this, and this and this.... give me 1 hour" I waited around while Ian was doing his stuff. He also explained another problem with the bike that 2 previous mechanics couldnt fix. 1 hour later the bike was going. I made it to Byron Bay through the Finke track, Mount Dare, Simpson Desert etc etc. I've been riding bikes for years and met a lots of mechanics (some good and some not so much) but I have to be honest, Ian was one of the best mechanic (and very friendly guy) that I've ever met. So glad I got to Moto Worx. I would give him 6 stars if I could. Thanks again Ian!!!! BTW, the price was also super fair!!!

Two weeks ago we discovered my FE 501 had multiple issues on route to Alice Springs and after talking to the local Yamaha dealership we were given Ian’s details . After a brief discussion he dropped everything to try and solve the problems so I could join my friends on a West to East crossing of the Simpson Desert. We returned to his workshop 20 hours later to find that he had refurbed the starter motor from 2nd hand parts, replaced the crook fuel and made numerous improvements to the bike so it was more than ready for the crossing ! I still can’t believe Ian was able to make that happen so we could continue on loosing no time from our schedule. Thanks Ian

When exploring Uluru/Kata Tjuta, my bike started to make unexpected noise. By the time I arrived at Palm Valley Campground, it got a lot worse, clearly indicating something wrong, but I had no idea what it was. I was nervous and not sure the bike could make it to Alice Springs. When I popped in the shop, Ian immediately diagnosed the worn chain. One hour later, a new (and better) chain was fitted, and the bike ran more smoothly than ever. Ian is good.

Ian, you’re a legend and a lifesaver. I discovered a leaky fork seal while crossing the GCR, and Ian got me in at short notice to swap them out. He’s a highly efficient mechanic—clean, fast, and looks like he could do it blindfolded. Thanks mate, for getting me out of trouble and keeping me rolling down the highway.

Ian is a total legend. I was passing through Alice and was stuck with a tyre that wouldn't get me home. Ian chased around and sourced the correct tyre for me and then squeezed me into his busy schedule so I didn't lose any time on my trip!!! Legend!!!! Thanks Ian!!!
